Nik Qistina started singing at three years old, and her passion for music has only grown ever since. As many her age do, Qistina started her career on YouTube, and was made famous from her Vine videos, which were viewed by millions across the world, and from her bubbly and relatable personality, she has amassed tens of thousands of social media followers.
Qistina is a natural entertainer, and her easy ability to capture an audience on camera and on stage, her singing-songwriting skills, and her stunning beauty, combined with her soulful, warm, voice, makes her a sure candidate to be the next big thing. She was discovered by Universal Music Malaysia in February 2016, and in the short time span since, has taken the stage with American golden boy Greyson Chance in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, performed at the renowned Istana Budaya in front of Malaysian pop queen Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, and featured on the song ‘Raikan Raya’ with Jes Ibrahim, Hafiz, and others. She released her first single on the 16th of September 2016, a dance-pop track, titled ‘Young Hearts’. “‘Young Hearts’ is a song about coming to the realisation that loving yourself first, before anyone else, is so important. I’m still learning to appreciate myself for the person I was meant to be, and it’s an amazing feeling,” says Qistina of the song and the inspiration behind it. The song is available in different versions for listening on all digital music platforms.
Qistina is inspired by the likes of Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and Ariana Grande, and is paving a path to similarly great heights. She is driven by the prospect of living her life dream, but still remains the girl-next-door that we all know and love— You’ll definitely be seeing her around, whether it’s in a restaurant down the road, or on the TV screen in your living room. You won’t need to keep an eye out for her; she shines on her own.
